A homepage is the first page that a visitor will see when going to your site. You want to make sure that the homepage:
- Identifies the organization.
- Describes products or services.
- Displays links to other pages.
- Projects an appropriate image for the organization.
- Provides a hook.
And the last thing that a homepage must do is to load as quickly as possible. If a visitor has to wait for large graphics to load, they will more than likely go elsewhere for the information they are looking for.
