Good website design also involves creating simple, easy-to-use navigation. The easier it is for a visitor to find the information they are looking for, the happier they will be and the more likely they will stay on your site longer. To create simple navigation:
- Make each link or button intuitive. Don't make your visitor guess where information is located.
- Break up long text into bite-sized chunks. This allows the visitor to pick and choose what to read. This also lets you design cleaner, simpler pages instead of scrolling through immense amounts of text.
- Make links easy to identify. This can be done by underlining only links within text or changing the color of the link from the rest of the text.
