Simple navigation.

Good website design also involves creating simple, easy-to-use navigation. The easier it is for a visitor to find the information they are looking for, the happier they will be and the more likely they will stay on your site longer. To create simple navigation:

  1. Make each link or button intuitive. Don't make your visitor guess where information is located.
  2. Break up long text into bite-sized chunks. This allows the visitor to pick and choose what to read. This also lets you design cleaner, simpler pages instead of scrolling through immense amounts of text.
  3. Make links easy to identify. This can be done by underlining only links within text or changing the color of the link from the rest of the text.
