  • A public, worldwide collection of networks that are composed of smaller networks.
  • Consist of high-, medium-, and low-speed data lines that allow computers to move data from one computer to another.
  • User must go through an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect.

The World Wide Web (the Web)

  • Not the same as the Internet.
  • A collection of links throughout the Internet that creates an interconnected network consisting of millions of Web sites.
  • Deliver information in the form of text, graphics, sound, animation, and video.
